On Wednesday, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is in Thrissur district of Kerala to addresses the issues of the Fisherman.

Recently, Union Government decided to extend a ban on trawler fishing to 61 days from existing 45 days to safeguard the marine wealth. Fisherman Community opposed this move and Congress extended its support.

Speaking on this occasion, Rahul Gandhi described the land as Farmer's Mother and the sea as Fisherman's Mother. "Centre is now separating you from your mother," he added.

A delicious meal of Kappa with Meen Curry was served to Rahul Gandhi by the family of Kizhakkuttu Karunakaran and Thankamani in Thrissur. The picture says it all...!
