Nothing Changed, I Am Helpless: Nirbhaya Father

Update: 2014-12-15 15:29 GMT
"Nothing changed in India since December 16th, 2012. All the promises made by the politicians remained unfulfilled. I wake up to realize how helpless I am when my daughter questions me what I have done to get her justice. What's making the officials hang those rapists and murderers inspite of having the evidence. Uber Rape wouldn't have happened if death penalty was implemented to the accused in my daughter's case," opines the father of Nirbhaya, who was gangraped in Nation's capital on Dec 16 two years ago.

Fast-Track Court has given death penalty to four accused (Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh) in Nirbhaya case on September 13th, 2013. However, Delhi High Court unheld the death penalty in March 2014. The Supreme Court is likely to take a final call.

Nirbhaya Parents expressed their wish to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek justice. "People say Narendra Modi is fearless and decision maker. Will he help us get justice," they ask.

One of the 6 accused in Nirbhaya case was found dead in Tihar jail during the trail. The only juvenile involved in the case was set to reform home for 3 Years.
