Google fonts named after NTR, Mandali
Google has honoured former Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao by naming a Telugu font after him for his invaluable services. From now onwards, Google Fonts directory will consist of NTR Font. Telugus across the World have been elated with this news.
About 6 New Fonts have been added to Google Fonts directory. Apart from NTR, The font named after former Health Minister Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao (F/O AP Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad) has also been launched. These Telugu fonts released by Silicon Andhra (SIL Open Font License 1.1) can be used free of cost.
With the addition of 6 New Fonts, The count of Telugu fonts reached 17 on Google Fonts directory. To over lack of good open-source fonts, Efforts have been made to release few more Telugu Fonts by Sankranthi.
