New state name should be Sonia Telangana
Telangana congress leader Shankar Rao is the one who always wants to be in the headlines and he usually won’t think about his words while speaking to the media.
He is an ardent follower and known as die-hard fan of Gandhi-Nehru family .Recently he came up with the proposal of constructing temple for Sonia at secunderabad and now he made one more witty demand.Shankar Rao on Saturday demanded that the Telangana State should be named after the Congress president.
Justifying his demand he said that Sonia was solely responsible for granting statehood for the region. Just like ‘Pottisriramulu’ Nellore district, ‘YSR’ Kadapa district, Shankar Rao has demanded for a ‘Sonia Telnagana’,
"Sonia madam sticks to her promise made to the people of Telangana. And, she did it despite enormous amount of pressure created by the Seemandhra leaders to scamper the formation of Telangana state," he said.
He said he would formal send the request to the Centre in this regard. He also predicted that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s political career would come to an end by this month-end.
"We will throw Kiran's flexiboard into Hussain Sagar lake," he roared.
