Luck favors YSRCP in Jammalamadugu
The much debated election of Jammalamadugu municipal chair person was concluded just a while ago and YSRCP bagged the municipal chairman post as the luck favored them in form of toss.
Out of 20 Council seats in Jammalamadugu Municipality, TDP has won 11 seats while YSR Congress won 9 seats. YSRCP MLA Ramanarayana Reddy and Avinash Reddy used their votes as ex officio votes and the total tally for both parties became equal. With this, the officials have no other option than to toss a coin to decide the winner here. And thus the winners are finalized.
YSRCP Councillor Tulasamma is now the chairperson of the municipality. Mulla Jhani who belongs to TDP is elected as the vice chairperson of the civic body. The election was supposed to happen on third of this month but it was postponed due to ugly spat between TDP and YSRCP workers at Municipal Office where two parties pelted stones at each other.
