India falls to 71st Rank in Global Competitive list

World Economic Forum's (WEF) annual list on the global competitiveness came as a bitter shock to Narendra Modi's Government which completed 100 days in office recently. Falling 11 places, India ranked 71st position in the list. May, be the decisions taken by government to revive Indian economy is yet to produce fruitful results.

WEF revealed the downfall of India's economy began in the year 2009 showing decline in financial market development, goods market efficiency, business sophistication and institutions.

As per World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report 2014-15, Switzerland is on top and Singapore & US occupy 2nd and 3rd positions. Finland and Germany are the two other Nations in Top 5 list.

The countries to occupy 6th to 10th position: Japan, Hong Kong, Kong SAR, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Sweden.
