Army successfully fires Prithvi-II, Challenges to China

India successfully test-fired  nuclear-capable Prithvi-II surface-to-surface missile today morning. The missile  developed indigenously has a strike range of 350 km. The test fire took place at Chandipur, Odisha near here as part of a user trial by Indian Army.

As per sources the missile has the capability upto 1000kg's payload with a range of 350 KM. The missile thrusted by liquid propulsion twin engines and developed using advanced inertial guidance system with maneuvering trajectory.With this success of Prithvi India strengthened its ability in surface to surface missile arms. The test fire is controlled by DRDO as part of regular trainings exercises. Director MVKV Prasad expressed his happiness over test fire success. According to him, Indian Army will carry such general exercises regular basis as part of its war readiness. The missile first developed in 2003 by DRDO has went under sever test fires achieving success all the times. Which is one of the advanced missile in Indian defense system putting challenge to China military.
