Saina Feels Insecure, Goodbye to Gopichand

It is pretty common for top sportspersons to split with their coaches after long fruitful associations. Now the same situation repeating with India's badminton queen Saina Nehwal. Saina decided to part ways with long-term coach Pullela Gopichand.

There were many speculation in earlier on this rejected by Saina in various occasion. Some time back Saina comments on Gopichand created rifts between them. In 2011, Saina trained under Baskar Babu for three months after her separation from Gopichand. Later both compromised on the issues and worked together. Now Saina disappointed with her career progress after her she failed in the quarters of the World Badminton Championships in Denmark last week, considering this she is set to train with former India coach Vimal Kumar ahead of the Asian Games later this month.

Saina Nehwal has been struggling with her form since few months from now. On the other end, the dramatic rise of young player PV Sindhu trained by Gopichand might have forced her to think of other coaching options. Recently PV Sindhu won several prizes including bronze in World badminton championship.
