A Hollywood flick inspires two Telugu films

Much to everyones surprise, a Hollywood flick has inspires two Telugu films which were released with a gap of just  one week.

The film 'A Good Year' starring Russel Crowe is about the transformation of unethical business executive who reaches his native village to claim the property of his estate to a good man who respects the sentiments of the people.

Recently released Telugu films Greekuveerudu and Sukumarudu too have a similar storyline and many of the scenes were straight away lifted from the original, making them a free-remake.

Scenes like the way the film begins, introduction of hero and heroine, a new girl claiming to be heir to the property, aunt tapping on hero's bum and the hero's forgery skills used in these Tollywood films were from the Hollywood flick.

Despite copying the storyline and scenes, both the films failed to strike a right chord with the audience. While Greekuveerudu remained as just average, Sukumarudu ended up as dud at the Box Office. Just like the sounding of these titles, the fate these films is almost the same.
