Fresh off a red-eye from Uluru, the Family Man star traded sleep for magic: a dawn hot-air balloon ride, wild kangaroo sightings, and heartfelt reunions under Queensland skies. As she captions: Barely slept flying in from Uluru and woke up at an ungodly hour to have a godly experience! A hot air balloon. That magical sunrise. Seeing Kangaroos in the wild. Feeding the Alpacas (the one with me is Thor) Catching up with old and new faces. All of it was worth the lack of sleep. @australia @queensland @experiencegoldcoast—proof that some adventures are worth every yawn.
Beyond her travel posts, Shreya has recently been in the news for speaking openly about film censorship in India. She strongly criticized the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after it removed a 33-second kissing scene from the Hollywood movie Superman in its Indian version. Shreya called the decision “absolute nonsense,” pointing out that audiences today deserve more creative freedom.
According to her, treating viewers like children only weakens the theatre experience. Her honest opinion started a fresh conversation about how over-censorship may be pushing more people toward OTT platforms.
In another recent interview, Shreya reflected on her acting journey and personal challenges. Even after earning praise for her work in Scam 1992 and The Family Man, she confessed that the fear of failure still stays with her. She shared that every role she takes feels like starting from zero. Shreya said she chooses characters who are very different from her own personality as she loves to explore emotions she doesn’t naturally relate to.
