The capital war is getting intensified in Andhra Pradesh with even ministers in the present cabinet demanding the Shivarama Krishnan Committee to choose their district for building a world class city.
Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha has submitted a memorandum to Shivarama Krishnan Committee which was in Anantapur yesterday asking them to prefer Anantapur as the new capital citing its suitable location for setting up large establishments. She even explained to the committee members regarding the available government land and other resources for building a capital.
Paritala's rival and Tadipatri MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy submitted a memorandum to Shivarama Krishnan Committee with a similar demand. He pointed out that the district got neglected since decades and development happens in the region if this place was chosen as the location for new capital.
