Unbelievable Day 1 figures for Jabardasth

Siddharth and Samantha starrer Jabardasth has registered unbelievable figures on Day 1 at the Box Office. A romantic comedy collecting a whoofing Rs 5.46 crores worldwide on the opening day despite serial blasts in Hyderabad and the negative talk is a phenomenal achievement. This figure is never heard for any of Siddharth's earlier flicks.
The combo of Sid-Sam, Samantha's track record and Nandini Reddy's brand value worked in favour of the film. This is the first time Siddharth has attempted a mass comedy and it worked for him.
Heavily inspired from Bollywood superhit 'Band Baaja Baaraat', Jabardasth failed to meet the expectations of the audience but succeeded in raking in good openings. The film has some good moments and Nithya Menon scored browine points with her cameo. Pre-climax and the climax is said to be a big let down. Nandini Reddy failed to recreate the magic of the original and ended up with just an average film. Let's see if the impressive openings land the film in a profit zone to continue Samantha's success streak!
