Just like the western countries, flight tickets are getting lesser compared to trains. For this Dussera, almost all the flight service providers are giving 50% off on the tickets. Spice Jet has been on the top in giving discounts to its customers. This 50% off offer is being applied in October, 2014 and January, 2015 months.
It is known that people will prefer to go to their hometowns in Dussera and Pongal seasons. Taking this into accounts, flight service companies are coming up with 50% off offers. With this, flight charges are almost equal to the AC class tickets fare in trains. Even though Indian Railways is enjoying monopoly, flight service providers are now putting check to Indian Railways.
