Star Hero denied permission to fast
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Aug 2013 4:36 PM GMTTamilnadu police officials have denied permission to hero Vijay who has decided to sit on a fast demanding the immediate release of his film Thalaiva (Anna - Telugu version). As expected, cops have cited silly reasons like permissions for such protests can't be given overnight and the people participating in it have to apply at least five days forehand.
Following the threatening letter from unidentified people, Exhibitors have been fearing to screen the movie and everyone associated with the film is likely to incur losses as pirated DVDs are in circulation in Tamilnadu. State government is said to be behind the harassment on Thalaiva team.
Vijay and film's producer appealed to chief minister Jayalalitha to intervene and resolve the issue. However, Jaya hasn't taken any action to ensure smooth release and instead the tax exemption given for films with Tamil titles have been denied for Thalaiva.
