Six Months for Telangana formation
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Aug 2013 4:28 PM GMTUnion Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Thursday said the formation of Telangana state would take at least around five-and-half to six months. He ruled out the chances of bill coming up in the Monsoon session of Parliament.
So, Telangana bill might be placed in Parlaiment only in the winter session of Parlament slated for November this year.
Shinde said no all-party meeting would be held to discuss with other parties as all of them have already given their consent for Telangana formation and instead welcomed if there are any suggestions from anyone on the issue.
The process to creation of new state would begin with the approval of a Cabinet Note sent by Home ministry and then it will be sent to president who will then direct it to move in the AP Assembly. After Assembly saying either Yes or No, then the resolution will be sent to Parliament. Soon after the approval in Parliament, the bill would reach President and a new state will be formed with his consent.
