Prisoners approach High Court for World Cup matches

Guwahati Central Jail Prisoners moved High Court seeking cable connection for Televisions in jail to watch the ongoing World Cup matches.
Former Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous District Council Mohit Hojai and six other inmates filed a writ petition in the High Court urging for orders directing the Jail Authorities to allow the under-trail prisoners to watch the World Cup.
Advocate Amit Goyal filed this petition for the sake of Jail Inmates. He argued recreatin is a must to keep the minds of prisoners healthy and watching sports/entertainment channels will be helpful.
High Court accepted the petition and its to be seen if the wish of the prisoners will be fulfilled or not!
