Politician's Last Wish: Rs 71.73 lakh paid for Actress

The trail of the Commonwealth Games (CWG) scam is exposing the true colors of the Suresh Kalmadi who was the chief of CWG Organising Committee.
According to the Delhi court which is dealing with the case, About Rs 71.73 Lakh was paid to Bollywood actress Silpa Shetty's performance at CWG Youth Games 2008 held in Pune only to fulfill the last moment wish of Suresh Kalmadi. The cheque of Rs 71,73,950 was given to Whiz Craft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd for Shilpa's services by the Organizing Committee on Oct 28, 2008. Whatever may be the reason, this sexy actress managed to make some quick bucks.
CBI mentioned that Kalmadi has illegally awarded a contract to install TSR system incurring a loss of over Rs 90 crore to the exchequer. The investigation sleuths had framed charges under various sections of IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act against Kalmadi and other accused in the CWG Scam.
