It is known that Tollywood actor Nagarjuna collaborated with former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and former manager of Indian cricket team Chammundeswaranath to own the Mumbai franchise of 'Indian Badminton League'.

The auction for the players have been held on Monday in IPL style. All eyes were on Indian Badminton champ Saina Nehwal as there is tough competition between the franchises including the Mumbai franchise to rope her. However, Nag's franchise failed to do so and the star player was sold to the Hyderabad franchise, much to the delight of Andhrites. Hyderabad Hotshots bought Saina for 1,20000 USD upping the base pace 50,000 USD.

Mumbai Franshise (Mumbai Masters) has breathed a sigh of relief after it managed to pick up Men's World No.1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia for 1,35000 USD.

'Indian Badminton League' will kickstart from August 14th this year and ends on August 31st. The six city-based teams (Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Lucknow) would be taking part in the first season of the league.
