Modi entered in Forbes list
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Nov 2014 9:56 AM GMTPrime Minister Narendra Modi debuted in to world's most powerful people ranking 15th on the Forbes list finally after his debacle victory in the recent elections. Russian President Vladimir Putin once again beating US President Barack Obama to the top spot.
In its explanation note Forbes said as "India's newest rock star doesn't hail from Bollywood. He is the newly elected Prime Minister who sailed into office in May with a landslide victory, ushering the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) into power after decades of control by the Gandhi dynasty". Its praised Modi contributions to the country and noted he will takes India to next generation successfully.
Previously Sonia was in the list at 21 last year which is highest ever from any Indian had dropped from the list this year. On the other side Mukesh Ambani stood at 36th place giving support to country industrial sector growth. The list contained few more Indians including Mittal and Nadella etc.
