Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Amma Jayalalithaa was on Saturday held guilty in a disproportionate assets case. A special court in Bangalore dealt a big blow to the AIADMK leader, who has become the first chief minister to be convicted in a wealth case

According to legal experts, Jayalalithaa will be disqualified as a legislative member and would lose her chief minister ship.The case was filed by Subramanian Swamy in 1996 accusing Jayalalithaa of amassing properties worth Rs 66 crore during her tenure as the Chief Minister from 1991 to 1996. After knowing the verdict Subramanian Swamy took his twitter handle he made below tweets

‘’Now PTs see that corrupt persons believe in violence. Misusing power. Fighting corruption is a dharma for us’’

Other side AIADMK leaders pelted stones on Subramanya swamy home and police security was tightened at his home.

The three other accused are Jayalalithaa's associate V.K. Sasikala, Sasikala's nephew V. N. Sudhakaran and sister-in-law J. Illavarasi. The case was transferred to Bangalore's Special Court in 2003 by the Supreme Court on a petition filed by DMK leader who had expressed doubts over conduct of fair trial with Jayalalithaa as Chief Minister.
