Gas Pipeline Blasts in East Godavari: 14 Dead!

A gar pipeline at Nagaram village if Mamidikuduru mandal in East Godavari busted in the early hours of Friday. Until now, 14 villagers have been declared dead and the casualties might increase. Houses, Trees and other belongings of the people living in that area have been burnt. The pipeline belongs to Gas Authority of India and it carries the gas from ONGC off shore platform to Gas Connecting Station. Fire Safety Personnel have been able to control the fire within less time because of the rains.
Chandrababu Naidu: "My condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in East Godavari blast. Ordered an enquiry & action plan to avoid these in future. Asked Dy CM Chinarajappa to go to the ONGC pipeline blast site and provide required support. We need a preventive plan to ensure safety."
