The first victory in World cup 2015 is registered by New Zeland and the Hosts gave the cricket World Cup a cracking start with a scintillating batting show.New Zealand won against Sri Lanka by 98 runs in the opening match.
New Zealand scored 331 runs with help of half centuries of captain Brendon McCullum (65) and Corey Anderson (75) .Chasing a stiff target, Sri Lanka failed to deliver and they bundled out for 233 in 46.1 overs and lose the Group A game.
Sri Lanka made a cautious start without losing early wickets and they were on track till the 22nd over .But, three quick key wickets fell in the middle and played spoilsport.Meanwhile England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to field against co-hosts Australia in another Pool A match.India is going to take arch rival Pakistan tomorrow and all fans are eagerly waiting to watch the encounter.
