New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum set a new record in World Cup history by scoring a fifty in just 18 balls against the ODI match against England at Wellington Today.

England which choose to bat after winning the toss posted a target of just 124. New Zealand pacer Tim Southee claimed 7 wickets conseeding 33 runs in 9 overs.

Guptill and McCullin opened the New Zealand innings. McCullum scored fifty in 18 balls and got out at 77 (25 balls). New Zealand won the match by reaching the target in 12.2 overs.

New Zealand is likely to be at the top of the Poll A table by the end of the league matches because of its huge net run rate and successive wins.
