Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao ordered for stern action against illegal land encroachments in Hyderabad. Yesterday KCR directed GHMC officials to demolish the constructions in Hyderabad that are illegal as well as built without permission. KCR has further indicated to initiate action to protect the Gurukul trust lands. KCR directed the officials to immediately stop all the ongoing constructions and not allow building construction activity on Trust lands.

Acting upon KCR orders GHMC officials started demolishing the illegal constructions in Gurukul trust lands.Today morning the officials reached Madapur and started demolishing the illegal constructions with the help of police .Sherilingampli MLA and few others tried to interrupt the officials but police took them into custody.

It may be recalled that Gurukul Trust was formed with noble goals like feeding the orphans, providing education to destitute, cow protection etc. Though the land was given in charity to the Gurukul trust by philanthropist Badrinath in 1951, one of its subsequent trustees obtained an exemption under the Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) Act and started selling the land for nominal prices.Out of 627 three hundred fifty acres illegally occupied and Swamy Ayyappa Society got 71 acres this way.Currently officials demolishing the constructions in Ayyapa society.
