CM Issues Order on Loan-Waiver!
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Aug 2014 3:22 PM GMTTelangana CM KCR stood on his promise to telangana farmers on Loan waiver. Today he signed on the issued G.O., on waiving crop loans up to Rs.1 lakh for farmers, the total loan wavier comes around 15000 crore.
However the government did not divulge details like who among farmers will be eligible for the waiver and to what crops it is applicableAnd the GO by KCR proves that his government and the TRS party fulfilled the dreams of the T state farmers and also the promises done by TRS at the time of elections
It is said that the government wants to auctions some unused lands in the capital region and its surroundings to acquire funds for the remaining. This move will put pressure on the neighbouring state Chief Minister Chandra Babu who made a similar but bigger promise (1.5 Lakhs per family) there
Earlier Finance Minister E. Rajender stated that crop loans taken only during the last one year would be waived, triggering protests by farmers. Later Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao made it clear that the government will waive all crop loans of up to Rs.1 lakh without any riders.
