When Chiru Fans breathed a sigh of relief?

Recently, Drug Control Administration (DCA) have found out 109 out of 132 registered blood banks in the Hyderabad city have violated safety norms. Mega Fans breathed a sigh of relief after knowing Chiru Blood Bank wasn't in the black list.

During the inspection, DCA Teams came to know these 109 blood banks are flouting norms from years. Faulty Storage, No Sterility Testing Equipment, Lack of Medical Experts and Sale of over-priced blood to the Poor are the major complaints against these registered blood banks. Other complaints include not maintaining the records of blood collected and lack of proper staff.

DCA Inspectors say faulty maintenance of blood leads to dangerous infections among the patients and there is every chance of even HIV virus infection.

Drug Control Administration served notices to all of the 109 blood banks and asked them to respond within 7 days. DCA would suspend the license if the blood banks fail to correct their mistake.
