Capital talk: Ongole out of race!

Ever since the Congress Working Committee (CWC) passed the resolution in favor of Telangana, the entire focus has been shifted to Ongole which was seen as the potential capital for the Seemandhra region due to its vast government lands which fell vacant.

However, there is no talk about Ongole now and all the leaders have been completely ignoring this district. Even leaders who represented Ongole in the past and the ones who are currently in the office have been silent on the issue.

Most of the political leaders have been in favor of Vijayawada-Guntur region and those from North Coastal Andhra have been suggesting Visakhapatnam as the new capital. On the other hand, Leaders from Rayalseema have been demanding a capital in their region.
