Cyclone Hudhud caused extensive damage to the city of Visakhapatnam and the neighbouring districts of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh. Damages are estimated to be at least 70000 crore .
Despite maximum precautions and measures, the cyclone Hudhud did what it had to in Vizag and north Andhra. Now, the devastation it has left behind would take years to recover. Meanwhile, Many kind hearted people has come forward in the most effective manner to do their bit and help out the victims.Now another big man joined in the brigade and he is none other than Microsoft Boss Bill Gates
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has granted $ 500,000(Approx 3 crores) to Hudhud victims and it will used through CARE foundation.CARE will use the grant to procure and distribute non-food items to 1,100 households.The foundation also provides shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene needs in districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.This once again shows the persona of big-hearted gates and these type of donations was mere example of humanity.
