The studio owners in Hyderabad had to rethink on their strategies as their revenues dropped drastically due to the fact that film makers are more keen shoot in real locations rather than building sets in the closed environment which lead to rise of production cost.

Movie Mughal D Ramanaidu is crying foul over the losses he has been incurring due to the studio which was erected with the good intention to make sure that a filmmaker who walks into the studio with a script should come out with the entire product he has envisioned. "My dream to set up a studio got fulfilled but it's not getting the revenue as expected. Running a studio now isn't a good idea as the production houses are willing to pay Rs 40,000 per day for a real house, instead of pouring Rs 1 crore to erect a house set. On the other hand, earnings from an event is just anywhere close to Rs 2 lakhs," says the veteran who is planning to expand the studio in Nanakramguda to woo the filmmakers.

Notably, Ramanaidu's studio in Vizag has succeeded in attracting the filmmakers with it's picturesque. Wish the revamp could change fortunes for this big producer!
