8,000 Indians gets ready for trip to Mars

Around 1,65,000 people have registered with 'Mars One' by August 31st to become the first humans on Mars. Till now, 8,000 Indians have so far applied for this one-way trip to Mars and settle down on the red planet. India stands at fourth place among other countries of the world with over 8,000 applicants.

Reportedly, 'Mars One' projects aim is to establish a colony there in the next 10 years. This non-profit foundation intends to establish permanent human settlement on Mars in 2023.

Top 10 Countries: USA (37,852), China (13,124), Brazil (8,686), India (8,107), Russia (7,138), Britan (6,999), Mexico (6,771), Canada (6,593), Spain (3,621) and Philippines.

People above the age of 18 can join the program at apply.mars-one.com. People from 140 countries have been keen to participate in this adventurous trip. The cultural diversity of Mars one makes it a humanity's mission to Mars.
