By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Nov 2025 7:43 PM ISTTamil cinema’s unapologetic firecracker Yashika Aannand just dropped a power-move photoshoot that screams Suit costs more than your excuses #baddie. The 26-year-old Bigg Boss Tamil 2 sensation, who survived a horrific 2021 car crash and roared back stronger, slips into a razor-sharp Hardman Essentials suit that costs more than most rent cheques. Shamini Shankar styles the boss-babe armour, Prasami freezes the slay, Miga paints the flawless canvas, and Monika sculpts the sleek hair. From her breakout in the neo-noir thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (2016) to ruling adult comedies like Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu (2018), zombie flicks, and OTT boldies, Yashika keeps proving excuses are for amateurs—her glow-up is the only receipt you need.
Yashika Aannand is now busy with her upcoming Tamil movie TOSS, directed by Sagu Pandian and produced by Syed Jaffer under Black Diamond Studio. The film stars Rathan Mouli and Yashika in the lead roles, along with Yogi, Teja Sri, Sanjay Shankar, and others. The movie was launched with a grand pooja ceremony in Kovilpatti, which was attended by the entire team. Former Minister and Kovilpatti MLA, Mr. Kadambur C. Raju, joined the event and wished the team good luck.
Yashika Aannand began her journey as an Instagram model before entering the film industry. Her first major recognition came from the movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (2016), which became a big success. Later, she appeared in films like Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu, Paadam, Maniyaar Kudumbam, and the zombie comedy Zombie.
Yashika also became a household name after participating in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2, hosted by Kamal Haasan. Her straightforward nature and confidence made her one of the most talked-about contestants of the season. In 2021, she received the Best Actress Award at the Las Vegas Independent Film Festival for her role in Bestie.
