Born on 29 September 1993 in Chandigarh, Wamiqa Gabbi is a versatile actress working primarily in Hindi and Punjabi cinema, with appearances in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. She made her screen debut as a child artist in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met (2007), playing a cousin of Kareena Kapoor’s character.

She established herself in Punjabi cinema with hits like Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 (2013), Nikka Zaildar 2 (2017) and Nikka Zaildar 3 (2019). Expanding southwards, she starred in the Tamil Maalai Naerathu Mayakkam (2016) and Malayalam Godha (2017). Her Hindi breakthrough came with critically acclaimed roles in the series Jubilee (2023) as Niloufer and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Khufiya (2023), earning a Filmfare OTT Award.

Recent films include Baby John (2024) opposite Varun Dhawan and the successful Bhool Chuk Maaf (2025).
