Vedhika's Dress is Taking Fashion to New Heights

Vedhika shared a refreshing moment from her holiday on Instagram. She posed against the blue waters and clear skies of the Aegean Sea. Her caption read, “Wrapped in the Aegean Sea 🌊 @cavotagoomykonos”. The photo shows her enjoying the sunny weather and cruise ships can be seen in the background.

The actress gained wide recognition when she was signed by director Bala for Paradesi in 2013. The film was an adaptation of the tragic novel Red Tea. She played the role of a village girl opposite Adharvaa. Later in 2013, she appeared in Sringaravelan, which became a commercial success. In 2014, she was part of Kaaviya Thalaivan, set against the backdrop of 1920s theatre in Madras. Her role was inspired by K. B. Sundarambal. She called it a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

In 2016, Vedhika played a possessed woman opposite Shiva Rajkumar in Shivalinga. The movie turned into one of the biggest hits of the year. Critics praised her range in the role. In later years, some of her films did not perform well, but she found success in Kanchana 3 (2019) and Home Minister (2022). In Kanchana 3, she starred opposite Raghava Lawrence, and the film did well at the box office. In Home Minister, she played an investigative reporter opposite Upendra. In 2019, Vedhika entered Bollywood with The Body opposite Emraan Hashmi.
