Vaani Kapoor, born on 23 August 1988 in Delhi, stepped into Bollywood with a memorable debut in the 2013 romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra. Her fresh performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She followed it up with a Tamil debut in Aaha Kalyanam (2014).

Her career gained momentum with notable roles in Befikre (2016) opposite Ranveer Singh, the glamorous Naina in the blockbuster actioner War (2019) alongside Hrithik Roshan, and Bell Bottom (2021). She showcased versatility in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021) and Shamshera (2022). In recent years, she appeared in the comedy Khel Khel Mein (2024) and delivered a strong performance in the crime thriller Raid 2 (2025) opposite Ajay Devgn.

As of 2026, Vaani has several projects in different stages. She made her OTT debut with the series Mandala Murders. Films like Abir Gulaal (with Fawad Khan) faced delays due to external circumstances, while Badtameez Gill (a coming-of-age drama where she plays the lead) and others are in various phases of release planning.
