Kriti Sanon has carved a unique space for herself in the Indian film industry through her relentless hard work and devotion to her craft over the years. Known for her remarkable versatility, Kriti has been awarded the prestigious National Film Award for her stellar performance in the comedy-drama film Mimi. As the talented actress celebrates her birthday today, July 27 let's dive into her remarkable journey, discover her top movies, and explore her upcoming projects.

Before dazzling audiences on the big screen Kriti started her career as a model and appeared in several TV commercials for renowned brands such as Close Up, Samsung, Bata and Amul. Her acting debut came with the Telugu-language action thriller film 1: Nenokkadine where she starred opposite South superstar Mahesh Babu.

In the same year, Kriti marked her Bollywood debut with the action-drama film Heropanti alongside Tiger Shroff. Directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film was a significant hit and brought Kriti much appreciation for her remarkable performance. Her role in Heropanti earned her the Filmfare Best Debut Actress award.

The following year, Kriti appeared in another Telugu film Dohchay co-starring Naga Chaitanya. Her career graph soared when she starred in director Rohit Shetty’s romantic action film Dilwale alongside superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan. The film was a massive success.

Since then, the actress has never looked back, appearing in several major commercial hits such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Housefull 4, Mimi, Luka Chuppi, Panipat, Shehzada, and Adipurush. Her outstanding performance in Mimi portraying a surrogate mother earned her the coveted National Film Award.
