Meet the class toppers of 'The Archies'

Before its highly anticipated Netflix premiere on December 7, Zoya Akhtar’s "The Archies" treated a packed audience of Bollywood celebrities to a special screening on Tuesday. Among the illustrious viewers were the Bachchan khandaan, the Khans, and a selection of the Kapoors, along with the entire fraternity dressed in their most exquisite attire.

Meanwhile, the entire film fraternity is eagerly looking forward to the debut of multiple-star kids. Netflix also shared a series of pictures, introducing the lead cast, with an interesting description.

"If slaying was a subject, we may have just found the class toppers," wrote Netflix, introducing the key characters.

Videos from the screening captured the heartwarming moment when the young cast—Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Dot., Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda—received a standing ovation. It is going viral on social media now.

Based on the beloved Archies Comics and set in the 1960s in a fictional Indian town, Riverdale, "The Archies" unfolds the story of seven friends—Archie (Agastya Nanda), Betty (Khushi Kapoor), Veronica (Suhana Khan), Jughead (Mihir Ahuja), Reggie (Vedang Raina), Ethel (Dot), and Dilton (Yuvraj Menda). The screenplay is crafted by Reema Kagti, Zoya, and Ayesha Devitre.
