TAL's Sankranti Celebration 2024 Creates Lasting Memories

Telugu Association of London (TAL) brought the joy of Sankranti to East London on January 20th, 2024, with a lively celebration that attracted many attendees from London and nearby areas.

The event, held in the heart of East London, showcased traditional customs and cultural performances, immersing everyone in the festive spirit of Sankranti. The event brought together the community in a joyous celebration, fostering a sense of togetherness and preserving the cultural essence of Sankranti.

The venue was filled with vibrant colors as participants adorned themselves in traditional attire. Girls and women wore half sarees and sarees, while men donned dhoti and pajamas, reflecting our rich tradition and cultural heritage.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in a variety of activities, including rangoli, dance programs, bommala koluvu and kite making competition. The lively atmosphere resonated with the spirit of Sankranti as people actively participated in these traditional festivities.

The celebration was like a lovely picture, showing exciting songs and dances, along with delicious foods that represented the different tastes of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. RJ Ratna took center stage, capturing the audience's attention with her infectious smile, enthusiasm and excellent anchoring skills, earning well-deserved applause from everyone present.
