Sriya Reddy, who recently impressed audiences with her villainous role in superstar Prabhas' "Salaar," is gearing up for her next big project – Pawan Kalyan's action thriller "They Call Him OG" directed by Sujeeth. In a recent interview, Sriya spilled some tea about her role, revealing it was almost played by a different actress altogether.

Sriya expressed her admiration for the veteran actress Tabu, a constant source of inspiration for her. She then dropped a bombshell: "When I received the script, it actually had Tabu's name attached to the role." While Sriya remained tight-lipped about the film's title, all signs point towards "OG," her only recent Telugu project.

Despite not revealing the specific reasons, Sriya's revelation adds an intriguing layer to her casting. She went on to express her immense excitement about being part of "OG," highlighting the project's significance. Describing it as an intense and personal film that evokes childhood memories, Sriya hinted at playing a powerful and invincible character – a role that will surely surprise audiences.

"They Call Him OG" is an action thriller directed by Sujeeth, boasting an impressive cast including Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Mohan alongside Pawan Kalyan. The film's release is slated for September 27th, but production was put on hold due to Pawan Kalyan's political commitments. With elections now behind him, fans eagerly await the project's resumption and a glimpse into Sriya's captivating character, originally envisioned for the legendary Tabu.
