Born on April 3, 1978, in Chennai to former Indian Test cricketer Bharath Reddy, she started her career as a popular VJ at SS Music before transitioning to acting. Her film debut came in 2002 with the Tamil action thriller Samurai, where she played a supporting role opposite Vikram.
Over the years, Sriya has delivered memorable performances in films like Black (2004, Malayalam), Thimiru (2006, Tamil), and the critically acclaimed Kanchivaram (2008). After a hiatus, she made a strong comeback with impactful roles in Suzhal: The Vortex (2022) and the blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023) alongside Prabhas, earning praise for her powerful portrayal.
