Born August 16, 1989, in Uttarakhand, Sonam began as a model after participating in Femina Miss India 2012. She made her acting debut in the Punjabi romantic comedy Best Of Luck (2013) alongside Gippy Grewal and Jazzy B, quickly rising in Pollywood with hits like Punjab 1984 (2014), Sardaar Ji (2015), Carry On Jatta 3 (2023), and Ardab Mutiyaran (2019). She ventured into Tamil with Kappal (2014) and Telugu with Aatadukundam Raa (2016). Her Bollywood entry in 2025 was explosive with Housefull 5, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, and others, marking three consecutive ₹100 crore+ grossers in her debut year—a rare feat. Border 2, opposite Diljit Dosanjh and Sunny Deol, solidified her pan-India appeal.

Currently, Sonam has projects like Ranna Ch Dhanna (Punjabi comedy) and potential sequels or new ventures in 2026, continuing her triumphant crossover.
