Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are now married! The couple, who has been dating for several years, chose a simple registered marriage. The civil ceremony took place at Sonakshi’s apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, on Sunday evening. Sonakshi and Zaheer shared their first wedding photos on Instagram. They wore matching off-white outfits, with Sonakshi in a beautiful saree and Zaheer in a kurta. Their loved ones, including Sonakshi's father Shatrughan Sinha, were present. He stood beside Sonakshi as she signed the marriage documents.

"Seven years ago, on this day (23.06.2017), we found pure love in each other's eyes and decided to hold onto it. Today, that love has guided us through challenges and triumphs, leading us to this moment. With the blessings of our families and gods, we are now husband and wife. Here's to love, hope, and all things beautiful from now until forever," Sonakshi and Zaheer captioned their photos. They turned off comments on their Instagram posts to avoid negative remarks.

Family members and close friends attended the wedding, including Sonakshi's Heeramandi co-star Aditi Rao Hydari and her fiancé, actor Siddharth. The pre-wedding festivities started on Saturday with pujas at Sonakshi’s family home, Ramayan. Sonakshi, in a blue kurta suit, attended the puja with her mother, Poonam Sinha. Before the puja, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20, followed by a mehendi ceremony on June 21. Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, were present at these events. Reports also mention that Sonakshi and Zaheer organized bachelor and bachelorette parties for their friends.
