Sobhita Dhulipala Shares Her Powerful Style Philosophy

Sobhita Dhulipala recently shared a captivating image that perfectly captures her refined yet bold aesthetic. Dressed in a black velvet jacket adorned with dramatic red sequined floral embroidery, she poses thoughtfully beside a large mirror, her reflection doubling the intensity of her gaze and the rich textures of the garment. “Style Icon” can feel like an intimidating title especially if you’re someone who sees style as an ever-evolving life long dance.

To me, style is identity.

When you’re younger, you’re constantly collecting references – from films, magazines, people you admire, it’s like there’s an other-ness to it. As though it is elsewhere, meant to be borrowed.

And then there comes a turn, without realising you start to look inward.

You stop asking “does this look cool” and instead wonder “does this feel like me” and that can be a powerful shift.

So this award means a lot, especially if it means that it is a celebration of my life’s story and how I get to interpret it.

Sobhita made her acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016). She gained widespread acclaim as Tara Khanna in the Amazon series Made in Heaven (2019–2023). Her filmography spans languages and industries, including Goodachari, Major, Kurup, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan films, The Night Manager, and her Hollywood turn in Dev Patel’s Monkey Man (2024). In 2026 she starred in the Telugu thriller Cheekatilo, with Pa. Ranjith’s Vettuvam upcoming.
