Shweta began her career at a young age and became popular with films like Makdee and Iqbal. She also worked in many TV shows and movies in multiple languages. She even won the National Film Award as a child artist. However, in 2014, she faced a major setback when she was wrongly involved in a controversy, which harmed her image. Later, she was cleared of all charges but the damage to her career was already done.

Despite these hardships, Shweta did not give up. She focused on writing, directing documentaries, and building a life beyond acting. She was briefly married to producer Rohit Mittal, but the couple later parted ways.
