Shweta Basu Prasad, the talented Indian actress known for her natural performances and versatility, strikes a cool, confident pose in this vibrant photoshoot. Born on January 11, 1991, Shweta began her career as a child artiste. She made her film debut in 2002 with Vishal Bhardwaj’s acclaimed horror-comedy Makdee, playing a double role as Chunni and Munni, for which she won the National Film Award for Best Child Artiste. Her transition to adult roles came with the blockbuster Telugu romantic drama Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2008) opposite Varun Sandesh. She has since worked across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, and other industries in films like Iqbal (2005), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), The Tashkent Files (2019), Serious Men (2020), Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2019), and India Lockdown (2022).

Shweta has also shone on OTT platforms with critically acclaimed performances in Jubilee (2023), Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper (2024), Oops Ab Kya? (2025), Criminal Justice: A Family Matter (2025), and Maharani Season 4 (2025) as Roshni Bharti. She has explored direction with the short film Retake (2023) and remains selective with her roles.

As of April 2026, she has upcoming projects including Telugu film Vijeta (October 2026), Kannada film Devravne Budu Guru (September 2026), and other pan-Indian ventures that showcase her continued growth as a performer.
