Born on 11 January 1991 in Jamshedpur, Shweta began as a child artist. She made her film debut in 2002 with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Makdee, playing dual roles as Chunni and Munni, and won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. She followed it with a memorable role as Khadija in Iqbal (2005).
She transitioned to adult roles with success in Telugu cinema, notably the hit Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2008). Her career later expanded across Hindi, Tamil, and OTT platforms. Notable works include The Tashkent Files (2019), Serious Men (2020), Jubilee (2023), Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper (2024), and the Criminal Justice series (as Lekha Agastya).
Ongoing and recent projects include Oops Ab Kya? (2025), Criminal Justice: A Family Matter (2025), Maharani Season 4, and upcoming films like Devravne Budu Guru and Vijeta. She is also preparing her directorial debut short film Retake. From National Award-winning child star to versatile OTT performer, Shweta continues to reinvent herself with strength and grace.
