Shweta Basu Prasad, a National Award-winning actress, began her career as a child artist. She made her film debut with Makdee (2002), for which she won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. She gained widespread fame with her memorable performance as Khadija in Iqbal (2005). Her Telugu debut came with the blockbuster Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2008).
She has successfully transitioned into versatile adult roles across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Bengali cinema. Notable works include The Tashkent Files, Serious Men, India Lockdown, Jubilee, and the web series Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach and Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper.
