Shruti Haasan Is Back and Better Than Ever in This Chic Black Dress

Shruti Haasan recently shared a adorable picture of herself on Instagram. She was styled in a chic black dress. In the caption, she expressed her happiness about being back. She added, “It’s good to be back” followed by sunglasses and heart emojis.

Shruti was styled by Sukriti Grover, with senior stylist Vani Gupta also credited. The team included Aditi Jaiswal, with hair and makeup by Sahera Ahmed and Noori Hairstylist. The photo was taken by Kalyanya Saswi.

Apart from her style, Shruti recently spoke about her upcoming movie Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. She revealed that Lokesh offered her the role unexpectedly during a meeting about a music video. She was surprised when he asked her to be part of his movie, without any prior preparation. Shruti also clarified rumors that she would be playing Rajinikanth’s daughter in the movie. She confirmed that she will play the daughter of Sathyaraj’s character, Rajasekar and her character's name is Preethi.

Coolie is an action-packed movie set to release on August 14, 2025. It follows an aging smuggler who must reunite his old gang to take down a gold-smuggling empire. Shruti described her character as soft, feminine and relatable by contrasting the film’s intense action and male driven energy. The film also stars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and Sathyaraj with Aamir Khan making a special cameo. Fans are excited for Shruti's role and the high expectations surrounding this action packed thriller.
