Shraddha Srinath’s latest Instagram post has her followers smiling. She is seated at a chic restaurant and posed with a wine glass in hand, wearing a relaxed yet charming expression. Her short curls, minimalist necklace and sleeveless black dress added a casual elegance to the setting. She looked like she was enjoying a light moment after a long day. The ambiance of the place, the blush-toned seating, and the sparkling water bottle on the table made the frame feel fresh and inviting.

Shraddha Srinath has carved a special place in Indian cinema with roles in Vikram Vedha, Jersey, and Krishna and his Leela. She picks characters that challenge her, and shares, “Growing up, we moved frequently, and that instilled in me a craving for variety. I carry that into my work, I look for something unique in every project. After Jersey became a big hit, I was offered several similar roles of a young mother, but I declined. I didn’t want to be typecast. My character Sarah in Jersey was well-written and author-backed, and I look for that same quality in every project I take up.”

She’s honest about the ups and downs of her journey. “I don’t have a godfather in the industry. I’ve had to make my own choices and stand by them. For me, even if I have just two releases a year, it’s important that the films have at least one strong selling point, a great producer, a notable banner, or a memorable script.” Shraddha has acted in multiple languages and appreciates that female actors now enjoy more space to grow. “If there’s a waiting period in one industry, there’s always an opportunity in another. It keeps us busy and allows us to explore diverse stories.”
