Popular television actress Shama Sikander recently shared a troubling experience from her early days in the entertainment industry. Known for her role in Yeh Meri Life Hai, Shama has been part of several films and web series. In a heartfelt interview, she revealed how an unexpected moment during an ad shoot made her feel uncomfortable.

While shooting for a jewellery commercial, Shama said her male co-actor, a big star, changed the scene without prior discussion. He suddenly added a twirling hug after putting the jewellery on her, which made her feel uneasy. Shama made it clear that she has many male friends and colleagues, but she never experienced such discomfort before. Although she did not reveal the actor’s name, she stated that she would never work with him again due to how inappropriate the situation felt.

Shama also discussed being replaced in a film after she had already started work on it. She recalled how she was getting her makeup done when she was told the shoot was canceled because the male actor wouldn’t be coming. She waited for hours before finding out that a new actress had taken her place. At that time, she didn’t fully understand the reason, as she was young and inexperienced.

Looking back, she believes the team was indirectly pushing her out. The incident left her shocked and heartbroken and she cried through the night. However, she found support in her father who comforted her.
