Born on August 4, 1981, in Makrana, Rajasthan, Shama Sikander (born Shama Gesawat) is an Indian actress, producer, fashion designer, and mental health advocate. She made her Bollywood debut at age 16 with a small role in Prem Aggan (1998), followed by Mann (1999) opposite Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala. She gained massive fame on television as Pooja Mehta in the popular Sony TV drama Yeh Meri Life Hai (2003–2005), earning awards like Face of the Year and Best Debut.

Her film credits include Ansh: The Deadly Part (2002), Dhoom Dadakka (2008), Contract (2008), and Bypass Road (2019). She ventured into bold content with the short film Sexaholic (2016) and web mini-series Maaya: Slave of Her Desires (2017–2019). She has also appeared in TV shows like C.I.D., Baal Veer, and music videos.

After a period of personal challenges including battling depression, she married James Milliron in 2022 and has been less active in acting since around 2021, focusing on production, design, and advocacy. No major ongoing or upcoming projects are announced as of 2026.
